Description

In this class, you will get hands-on experience inoculating traditional mushroom logs. Select either Shiitake or Oyster mushroom and take home a fully inoculated log ready to produce on your farm or homestead as early as the Fall. Tools, mushroom spawn, and information packet are included in this introductory course.

When: Sunday, November 30th – 10am-Noon (2 hours)

Where: Grateful Roots Gardens located at 1667 W. Price Creek Rd. Talking Rock GA 30175

What you get: Hands-on experience inoculating hardwood logs with mushroom spawn, instruction packet for various other mushrooms and their corresponding hardwood media, tea or coffee during class, and a 40″ long mushroom log of your choice.

Cost: $85/person (additional logs $50 each)

Please Note: This class will include the use of power tools to drill holes for filling the logs with mushroom spawn – safety goggles, gloves, and ear protection will be provided.
